Every two years, The Boston Foundation selects six area artists who have positively impacted their communities through skillful creative practice. Established in the name of Brother Thomas Bezanson, a Benedictine monk and himself a respected ceramacist, the award provides each chosen artist with a $15,000 "no strings attached" grant to support them in their artistic endeavors. Among the 2013 recipients of this award is Ekua Holmes, prolific artist and a member on the Board of the Boston Art Commission.
